The Quality, Accountability, Integrity, and Transparency in Higher Education Project – QAINT, is funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and aims to align the Kosovo higher education system with the international standards of quality, transparency, integrity, and accountability. The long-term impact of this project is to improve the quality and competitiveness of the higher education sector with the aim of contributing to social and economic development of the country.
The project focuses on the following target groups:
- Kosovo Accreditation Agency (KAA)
- Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MEST)
- Public universities in Kosovo
- Student groups representing students of public universties in Kosovo
- Kosovo public university young academic faculty, primarily teaching assistants and academic staff who have completed their doctoral studies.
The project has four outputs:
Output 1
Improved capacity of the KAA to monitor higher education providers and advise MEST on the results of quality assessment, as well as higher credibility of the accreditation process.
Output 2
Improved transparency, integrity, and accountability in the higher education sector.
Output 3
Improved legislation (regulations, procedures, and practices) related to academic issues in higher education.
Output 4
Improved capacity of young academic staff (teaching assistants and those who have completed their doctoral studies) to apply the research-guided teaching methodology.
